Kurdish journalist describes brutality of Turkey's mercenaries in occupied Afrin

The Journalist Hasna Muhammad spoke to ANHA Agency about what is happening in Afrin and its villages since its occupation by Turkey and its mercenaries, especially women in the village of Kakhra, affiliated with the city of Mobata, on September 15th. 

 The Journalist hails from the village of Kakhra, she pointed out that the Turkish state and its mercenaries occupied Afrin on March 18, 2018, after launching brutal attacks on the city and its villages.

She explained that Afrin, known for its picturesque nature, was occupied and destroyed by the Turkish state and its mercenaries, with the aim of eliminating the democratic Autonomous Administration Project.

 "With its filthy practices, Turkey seeks to break the will of the Kurdish people, especially women, so Turkey and its mercenaries continue to commit crimes of murder, kidnapping, rape, and torture," she said

 "The women who organized themselves accordance with the ideas of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, are fighting against the occupation, and no one will be able to enslave them. Mothers lead the resistance, and this is the greatest source of strength," she added.

 Muhammad called on everyone not to remain silent about these practices, saying: "We must put an end to these violations and liberate Afrin with our struggle."

Muhammad criticized the inaction of human rights organizations, and said: "If they really protect human rights, why are they inaction? Where is the protection of human rights?"

 What happened in the village of Kakhra?

 The people of the villages of the Afrin region under Turkish occupation wanted to harvesting their crops, but the Turkish occupation mercenaries demanded huge sums of money to allow them to harvest their crops.

On September 15, the mercenaries forced the people of the village of Kakhra to pay $8 for each olive tree, which angered the villagers and prompted them to protest. However, they were attacked and assaulted by the mercenaries, which resulted in the injury of 20 people.
