The Kongra Star Coordination issued a statement regarding insults directed at Leader Abdullah Ocalan and other politicians, which reads:

"As Kongra Star, we have been closely monitoring the insults and attacks directed at Leader Abdullah Ocalan for some time. At a time when all efforts and struggles are focused on peace and democracy, and while Leader Abdullah Ocalan insists on building brotherhood among peoples, these attacks are extremely shameful and cowardly. We want to emphasize that the words spoken in parliament by Müsavat Dervişoğlu and Turan Gümüs, both members of the İyi Party, only create confusion.

As a result of their words, we learned that during the football match between Georgia and Turkey, severe insults were directed at our leader. We know very well that individuals like Müsavat Dervişoğlu and Turan Gümüs pave the way for such incidents by stirring hatred among peoples. They do nothing but incite discord, live off war, the killing of youth and civilians, and crises, and benefit from them. That is why they do not desire peace among peoples and engage in these dirty endeavors against peace.

However, the current truth is known to the entire world: Leader Abdullah Ocalan is today one of the most committed individuals to social stability and peace. Despite enduring harsh isolation, he has worked for peace among the peoples of Turkey for a long time, combating the poisons of ethnic nationalism and continuing to consolidate a project of peace and democracy for 27 years to prevent conflict among peoples. These methods are therefore completely unacceptable. This approach is not merely a stance of a segment of nationalists but a deliberate, systematic policy that ignores the causes of the Kurdish issue.

We know that the state-military-public triangle deepens Turkish ethnic nationalism, fueling division and hatred among peoples. Those who pave the way for these risks are, at heart, also opposed to their own country and people, as they are against the peace and democracy of the peoples and accept nothing but war. Statements by the so-called leader of the İyi Party, Müsavat Dervişoğlu, constitute a continuation of conflict between peoples, an incitement to fascism, and contempt for all peoples.

Instead of this behavior, they should meet with the leader and make efforts toward a democratic future for Turkey, but they have followed this approach and disrupted the process, which is unacceptable.

Let them know that this stance against our leader is a stance against all women and peoples. As Kongra Star, we also strongly condemn this approach against Pervin Buldan, and all women’s organizations must denounce it and react.

As women of Rojava Kurdistan, we say that the freedom of our leader is our freedom. Therefore, we do not accept any harm to our leader or our politicians, and all friends and organizations must stand against these methods and expose these individuals so that they do not dare to speak such words again."
