As part of the activities held under the slogan “I Want to Meet the Leader”, the Kongra Star held a mass event today, Saturday, in the City Council Hall of al-Shaddadi in the Jazira Canton. Women from the city as well as the towns of al-Arisha and Markada participated, alongside representatives from political party administrations and internal security forces.

The event began with a speech by Amira Al-Ali, the Kongra Star administrator in Al-Shaddadi, who praised the efforts of women in demanding the leader’s freedom. She emphasized that the voice of women will not remain marginalized but will be a key partner in shaping the future and building a free democratic society.

At the conclusion of the event, a statement summarizing the main demands of the participating women was read. Hiba Al-Ali, a member of the Kongra Star from Al-Arisha, read the statement, which declared that women raise their voices today “in the name of every woman seeking freedom and dignity, in the name of every mother carrying the trust of the martyrs, and in the name of every girl aspiring to a better future for our peoples.”

The statement issued a direct and sincere appeal to Leader Abdullah Ocalan, requesting a direct meeting with him to convey the demands and concerns of women and present their shared vision.

Participants affirmed their insistence on their right to this meeting, believing that “honest dialogue is the path to strengthening the unity of peoples and consolidating the values of freedom and equality.”

They also emphasized that “hope is not just a slogan but a legitimate right for all of us, and women’s rights are society’s rights, empowering women is the path to building peace, justice, and democracy.”

At the end of the event, the Kongra Star administrators in al-Shaddadi honored several participating women by presenting symbolic gifts in recognition of their role and struggle against marginalization, violence, and exclusion.

The event concluded with chants affirming the attendees’ commitment to continue the struggle and demand the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, as the women’s voices echoed with the slogan: “No life without the Leader.”
