KCK extends its congratulations on Eid al-Adha and calls for strengthening Kurdish unity

The Committee for Peoples and Beliefs of KCK issued a statement today, Monday, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, expressing hope that the holiday would be an opportunity to strengthen peace, justice, and social solidarity. The statement also called for national unity among the Kurdish people and emphasized that protecting the Kurdish language and cultural values ​​is both a human and national responsibility.

The statement read:

“We congratulate all the people of Kurdistan and all Muslims on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. We hope that this Eid will be an opportunity to promote awareness of peace, a sense of justice, and social ethics. May it be an occasion to consolidate the rule of law and rights, and to build an environment where problems are resolved through dialogue and politics. May it also contribute to strengthening the culture of brotherhood and solidarity among different peoples and beliefs. At the same time, we congratulate all Muslims performing Hajj this year, and we hope that the spirit of faith and sincere intention embodied in Hajj will continue to permeate all aspects of life.

For our part, we believe in the necessity of deepening awareness of the meaning and cultural value of religious holidays. We affirm that Eid al-Adha, in its essence, represents a stance against injustice and tyranny. Therefore, it should be celebrated in a manner consistent with its profound meaning. We remind everyone that preserving the memory of this faith, which liberated humanity from injustice and denial, is essential." It is a sacred duty, and therefore we must not forget that this feast carries other responsibilities. We believe that taking a courageous stand, following the example of Abraham, against the tyrants and deniers who operate today under religious masks, is the greatest legacy this feast has offered humanity. Therefore, we call upon all people of conscience, those who uphold the values ​​of the past and strive for goodness and beauty today, to remain steadfast and to struggle in accordance with this sacred tradition.

On the occasion of Eid, we call upon all Kurdish communities to strengthen national unity and to give this endeavor great importance in order to consolidate and sustain it. We believe that this effort will be the greatest gift Eid can offer our people. We must also be vigilant against all those who seek to incite discord among the peoples and beliefs of Kurdistan.

We emphasize that in the face of all forms of division, priority must be given to efforts aimed at building a democratic society. We call upon all the people of Kurdistan to support the call for peace and a democratic society launched by Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Eid is a time when peoples and beliefs experience their cultural values ​​in their purest form. From this perspective, we believe it is our duty to remind everyone that adhering to religion and culture is a religious, humanitarian, and national obligation. We emphasize the importance of Kurds celebrating Eid according to their cultural traditions and in the Kurdish language. On this occasion, we remember our martyrs once again with deep gratitude. We bow in reverence before their memory and renew our love, respect, and loyalty to them. We also call upon everyone to pray for the victory of the cause for which the martyrs sacrificed their lives. We wish to remind everyone that, as in previous commemorations, visiting the martyrs' shrines collectively during this holiday is also a national duty. We affirm that fulfilling our obligations towards our martyrs and wounded, in accordance with our faith and national culture, is a great responsibility. In the same spirit, providing material and moral support to the families of the martyrs is also a national responsibility.

With our historical, social and national awareness and feelings, we congratulate once again, in the person of the families of the martyrs, our dear people in general on this holiday, and we call on everyone to work towards achieving the final victory in building the democratic life that our people deserve.”
