K. Star briefs French delegation on women’s experience in region
K. Star received a French delegation during a visit aimed at gaining a closer understanding of the women’s experience in the region.
The delegation from France visited the Committee for Democratic Politics Relations and Agreements at K. Star in the city of Qamishlo, with the goal of closely observing the pioneering women's and community experience in North and East Syria.
This visit comes as part of an invitation extended by K. Star to host international delegations interested in women's issues and community organization.
K. Star briefed the French delegation, which included activists working on establishing women’s rights institutions in their own countries, on how women organize themselves in the Rojava region, as well as methods of community defense and women’s protection of themselves and their communities.
The K.Star provided a detailed explanation of its vision on women's issues and the key principles it relies on to build a democratic society based on gender equality and the empowerment of women at all levels.
Members of the delegation described the visit as inspiring and stressed the importance of transferring this rich experience to their own communities in order to advance women’s work and strengthen their role in political and social life.
