Israeli incursion into Quneitra southern countryside

On Sunday morning, Israeli forces carried out a limited incursion into the village of Saida al-Hanout in the southern countryside of Quneitra.

Israeli forces, consisting of ten military vehicles, entered the village of Saida al-Hanout in the southern countryside of Quneitra on Sunday morning, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Observatory noted that the forces set up a checkpoint that lasted for about an hour and questioned passersby about the presence of weapons and ammunition in the area, before withdrawing without any significant friction.

Israeli incursions continue in the southern border areas, contributing to increased tensions among the local population.

Earlier, the Observatory observed Israeli forces dropping flares south of Kasarat Jabata al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra, coinciding with intensive Israeli drones' hovering over the area.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously announced that his forces would remain in southern Syria, with the goal of demilitarizing the area and protecting the Druze, according to his statement.
