2 citizens attacked, 20 sheep stolen in occupied Afrin countryside

Armed men attacked two citizens in Mobata city in the occupied countryside of Afrin, stealing more than 20 sheep, amid an escalation in kidnappings, thefts, and armed robberies in areas under the control of Turkish occupation mercenaries.

The Afrin-Syria Human Rights Organization reported that three masked gunmen attacked the two citizens Youssef Youssef (54 years old) and Mohamed Shabo (17 years old) from the city of Mobata in the occupied countryside of Afrin at dawn on Saturday, October 18, who work in the sheep trade, and they stole more than twenty heads of their sheep.

The organization stated that the incident occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. in the Zarafa Valley, north of Mobata, where the two men were sleeping near their flock inside an agricultural tractor-trailer.

The gunmen severely beat them with pistol butts, then tied them up with tape. After that, they brought a Porter vehicle parked nearby and stole the flock.

The organization referred the recent increase in kidnappings, thefts, and armed robberies in the occupied areas by Turkish occupation mercenaries and their allied settlers.
