Israeli incursion into Quneitra, inspection of civilians

According to reports, an Israeli military patrol advanced today, Monday, into the village of Sayda al-Golan in the southern Quneitra countryside, using five military vehicles, as part of repeated movements witnessed in southern Syrian regions.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) stated that the forces established a temporary checkpoint at the eastern entrance of the village on the road leading to Ain Zikir village, where they conducted inspections of passersby and checked their identities before moving further into the village.

The SOHR added that the military vehicles briefly stopped near one of the examination centers in the village before later leaving the area, with no arrests or detentions of civilians reported.

This incursion comes as part of a series of Israeli military movements in southern Syria, where patrols and incursions occasionally take place amid ongoing security tensions in the region.

In a related context, local reports indicated that Israeli forces targeted agricultural plains in the Wadi al-Raqad area within the Yarmouk Basin in western Daraa countryside last night using machine guns, with no information on casualties or material damage reported.
