Residents of the Wadi al-Raqad area reported that an Israeli military force comprising nine vehicles made a new incursion on Friday intothe Wadi area of the Yarmouk Basin in western rural Daraa, amid continued Israeli military activity in the area, including searches of several homes and farms.

According to local sources, the force entered the area from the direction of the Golan Heights and moved around Wadi al-Raqad. No information has so far emerged about any clashes or arrests during the incursion and searches.

The developments come amid continued Israeli incursions into southern Syria, particularly in the countryside of Daraa and Quneitra.

According to monitoring by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 45 Israeli incursions and military movements inside Syrian territory were recorded during the first half of September. These included deployments in areas and villages, the establishment of temporary checkpoints, raids, searches and arrests, alongside drone and warplane flights.

Israeli forces have recently intensified their movements in the Yarmouk Basin and parts of the Quneitra countryside, as Damascus continues to call for an end to the incursions, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Syrian territory, and adherence to the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
