Israeli forces arrest two people in countryside of Quneitra, Daraa

Israeli forces have arrested a civilian young man in the Quneitra countryside and another person from the Daraa countryside, as ground incursions continue in southern Syrian areas.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today that Israeli forces arrested a civilian young man in the village of Ain al-Qadi, south of Quneitra, while he was in the vicinity of the village of al-Mushayda in the southern Quneitra countryside. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unclear.

Earlier, an Israeli patrol raided a house in the village of al-‘Aridah, located between Abidin and Ma‘ariyah in the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside, and arrested a person known as “the Bat” for unknown reasons, taking him to an undisclosed location.

The incident has raised concerns among civilians about the recurrence of arrest operations carried out by Israeli forces inside Syrian territory.

Israeli forces had previously opened fire on a crowd in the town of Khan Arnabeh in the Quneitra countryside, injuring three people.
