Israeli forces fired an artillery shell today at agricultural land in the vicinity of the town of Saida al-Hanout, in the southern Quneitra countryside, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The shelling comes as Israeli military incursions and movements continue across various parts of the Quneitra countryside. Residents have expressed concerns that the escalation could widen, given the repeated targeting of areas near civilian population centers and agricultural lands.

The SOHR noted that since the beginning of 2026, Israel has carried out approximately 107 operations targeting Syrian territory comprising six airstrikes and 101 ground operations, which resulted in the damage or destruction of about 13 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, military headquarters, centers, and vehicles. The Observatory added that these operations have led to the deaths of seven people.
