Israel strikes security site in southern Syria’s Quneitra

Israeli forces have intensified their military operations in southern Syria, as a drone strike this evening targeted an Internal Security Forces headquarters in the city of Al-Salam,

According to local media outlets, the Israeli drone strike on the Internal Security Forces facility in Al-Salam city caused material damage, with no confirmed reports yet of casualties.

This comes as Israeli reconnaissance aircraft have been flying intensively over Quneitra airspace for more than an hour and up to the time of preparing this report, while locals remain on edge fearing renewed attacks.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented 89 Israeli attacks on Syrian territory since the beginning of 2025 — 79 of them airstrikes and 10 ground assaults — which have damaged or destroyed around 132 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, command centers, and vehicles.

Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8 last year and until the end of 2024, Israeli warplanes have carried out about 500 airstrikes on Syrian military sites, destroying Syria’s entire weapons arsenal.
