A report by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth stated that Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir has issued directives for the military to shift into a state of “immediate readiness,” amid the stalling of the diplomatic track between Washington and Tehran.

The newspaper quoted military sources as saying that the army has begun “organized combat procedures,” a rapid operational tempo that mirrors preparations preceding previous major military operations.

It added that, as part of these measures, directives were issued to maintain high readiness across various units, reduce response times, and complete operational gaps.

The instructions to raise readiness to the highest level come in preparation for the possibility of a renewed military confrontation with Iran.
