Israel intensifies its airstrikes with drones, artillery in southern Lebanon

On Friday, Israeli forces launched a series of drone strikes targeting a motorcycle on the road between the towns of Al-Bayada and Al-Naqoura, as well as the town of Shoukin in southern Lebanon. This followed nighttime airstrikes that had hit the town of Al-Mansuri and the Al-Naqoura road, leaving one Syrian worker injured.

The National Media Agency reported that Israeli forces also conducted artillery combing operations using machine guns toward the town of Haris, alongside artillery bombardments targeting the outskirts of the towns of Hadatha, Barashit, and Beit Yahoun in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as carrying out an explosion inside the town of Hadatha.

The Israeli combing operations also surrounded several residents of the town of Haris, who had appealed to the Lebanese army for intervention to save them.

These developments come ahead of the anticipated meeting between Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, where both sides are expected to discuss security issues, including mechanisms for implementing the agreed-upon arrangements regarding what are known as "test zones."
