ISIS leader arrested in al-Hol Camp

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement today announcing the arrest of an ISIS leader in al-Hol camp. The statement read:

"Despite the terrorist organization ISIS's attempts to exploit the prevailing chaos in Syria to re-empower itself and begin carrying out its terrorist operations, especially in the North and East of Syria, our forces continue their security operations to dismantle its terrorist cells and arrest its members.

Yesterday, Wednesday, March 12, our SDF military operations teams (TOLs) carried out a security operation in al-Hol camp, southeast of Hasakah city, targeting the arrest of a member of the organization's terrorist cells.

After completing the investigation and search operations for the terrorist known as "Salah Abdullah al-Abd," nicknamed "Abu Azawi," an Iraqi national, our forces confirmed that he was present in al-Hol camp, so they headed there and arrested him.

He is considered... The captured terrorist, "Salah," was an active member of the ISIS terrorist organization. He was conducting financial transfers to the organization in Iraq and was in constant contact with its leaders in Syria.

Our forces affirm that they will continue to destroy the organization's hideouts and hideouts and disrupt its financial sources. They will not allow it to regroup and will maintain the security and stability of our regions.
