Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani declared that Iran "has never had and will never have a military nuclear program and will never seek to acquire a nuclear bomb."

In remarks quoted by the Tasnim news agency, she added that this stance stems from cultural, religious, and moral reasons, emphasizing that a religious edict (fatwa) prohibits the production and use of nuclear weapons.

Mohajerani noted that the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, confirmed that Iran "has never had and does not have a military nuclear program."

In a related context, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei stressed the impossibility of cooperating with the United States as long as it supports Israel.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi had previously affirmed his country's readiness for negotiations solely on its nuclear program, ruling out any dialogue regarding missile capabilities. He indicated that resuming talks depends on the Americans' willingness to negotiate on an equal footing.
