Today, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria issued a statement to the public, announcing the launch of a campaign in Raqqa and revealing that extensive security operations will take place across the entire region of North and East Syria, with good news expected to be shared in the coming days.

The statement reads as follows:

"As a result of years of prolonged war in Syria, chaos and instability spread throughout the country, creating security vacuums in several areas. There is no doubt that this situation negatively affected our regions in North and East Syria, as we are an inseparable part of this country.

This deteriorating situation enabled ISIS terrorist cells to significantly increase their activity, reorganize themselves, and target our forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in multiple cities and towns. It also allowed drug traffickers, who previously operated under the protection of the former Syrian regime, to expand their trade into our areas in the Region of North and East Syria.

Additionally, there have been isolated incidents by individuals firing randomly, which undermined the safety and security of citizens.

All these factors created a strong motivation for our forces to launch security and military campaigns, increase operational intensity, and raise readiness in several areas. This includes the sweeping operation south of Hasakah city to disrupt ISIS cell activity, resulting in the arrest of numerous members of these terrorist cells, along with the seizure of large quantities of weapons and ammunition.

Following that, our forces prepared a precise and targeted security operation in Al-Hol camp, considered the most dangerous camp on earth, housing families of ISIS mercenaries who are currently imprisoned. Our forces, alongside the Internal Security Forces’ women units, the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), and supported by the SDF and the International Coalition, conducted a two-day sweep of the camp. This resulted in the arrest of 11 individuals affiliated with this terrorist organization, dismantling several networks, and foiling multiple planned attacks targeting our areas.

Today, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria announces the launch of a new campaign in Raqqa, aimed at stabilizing security and safety and apprehending individuals wanted for various crimes. This operation will be carried out with high precision and professionalism by our Special Forces (H.A.T) and operations units.

We assure our people in North and East Syria, known for peaceful coexistence and the values of the Democratic Nation, that just as we defeated ISIS in Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and many other areas with sacrifice, courage, and bravery, we will commence extensive security campaigns across the entire region of North and East Syria. We will fight terrorism with all our strength and will share good news with our people in the coming days. We also affirm our commitment to follow in the path of the martyrs until victory is achieved."
