The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) have reactivated a checkpoint at the northern entrance of Hasaka as part of increased security deployment.

The Internal Security Forces have re-established the checkpoint after demands from local residents to restore it and enhance security presence in the city.

The forces have repositioned at the checkpoint located near the railway area, after it was previously situated near the village of Safia.

Recently, Internal Security Forces (Asayish) reported several incidents of murder, kidnapping, theft, and armed robbery in the city, prompting residents to call for the reactivation of checkpoints at city entrances to improve security and control crime.
