Earlier today, the Internal Security Forces of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle members of ISIS families from al-Hol Camp, located south of Hasakah city in al-Jazira canton.

According to ANHA correspondent’s sources within the camp, the smuggling attempt involved over 30 women and children belonging to families of ISIS. The Internal Security Forces foiled the operation by intercepting the vehicle used in the attempt.

Al-Hol Camp currently houses tens of thousands of women and children of ISIS affiliates, from both Arab and foreign nationalities. Due to this, the camp remains a volatile hotspot, repeatedly issuing warnings about the risks these individuals pose to both local and international security.
