Internal Security Forces arrests 38 wanted persons, mercenaries, and ISIS leaders

Within eight days of the third phase of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation, the Internal Security Forces achieved tangible results, most notably the arrest of the mercenary “Abu Abdul Hamid”, responsible for spreading extremist ideology among children in the camp, and who had contact with the leaders of ISIS mercenaries outside the camp. 

On January 27, the Internal Security Forces, with the support of the SDF and the Women’s Protection Units, announced the launch of the third phase of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation, with the aim of eliminating ISIS cells, drying up extremist sources, and arresting wanted persons. What did the camp witness over the past 8 continuous days?

January 27

On Friday, at 10:00 am, the Internal Security Forces, with the support of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), announced the launch of the third phase of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation.

The "Humanitarian and Security" operation began with combing inside the "ISIS Women" section, which is designated for the children and women of extremist foreign ISIS mercenaries and extremists of more than 50 foreign nationalities.

Internal Security Forces found mines hidden inside bags of flour inside one of the tents.

ISIS mercenary women in the "ISIS Women" section attacked the press teams and the points of the camp residents' records renewal teams and tried to burn the points.

Internal Security Forces arrested an ISIS mercenary disguised as women and found hideouts and trenches.

January 28

On the second day of the “Humanitarian and Security” operation, the Internal Security Forces continued combing operations inside the “ISIS Women” sector.

21 wanted persons were arrested, and 4 mines were found.

80% of the "ISIS Women" section has been completed.

January 29

A delegation from the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria visited Al-Hol camp to see the progress of the "Humanitarian and Security" operation.

A hand grenade and swords were seized, along with military equipment.

Completion of combing operations within the “ISIS Women” section.

January 30

3 hand grenades, 2 explosive belts, 2 Kalashnikov weapons with 10 magazines, and 9 narcotic syringes were found.

January 31

The Internal Security Forces continued the combing process within the camp, and 3 mercenaries were arrested and weapons and ammunition were found.

February 1

The combing began in the fifth section of the camp.

4 members of the Internal Security Forces in Qamishlo, participants in the “Humanitarian and Security” operation, were martyred as a result of an attack launched by the Turkish occupation army, via a drone, on the forces’ center.

February 2

The combing began in the fourth and seventh sections of the camp.

5 wanted persons were arrested within the camp.

February 3

3 hand grenades, Kalashnikov ammunition, and a number of “Dushka” and BKS medium machine gun rounds were found.
