Villages in the Kobani countryside witnessed serious violations against civilian property, with residents' homes subjected to looting, vandalism, and arson before the withdrawal of factions affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government.

Before withdrawing from villages around Kobani as part of the January 29 agreement, factions affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government looted residents' property, even removing doors and windows and taking them with them.

In the village of Zirik, south of Kobani, they looted homes and stole all household belongings. They also set fire to some houses, burning everything inside.

After the Syrian Interim Government factions withdrew from the village, residents of Zirik returned to their homes to find them ransacked, looted, and burned.

According to footage obtained by ANHA agency from Zirik, the effects of the looting and destruction are clearly visible in the houses.

The Syrian Interim Government factions withdrew from the vicinity of Kobani on March 5, having looted approximately 74 villages before their withdrawal.
