Injuries in shelling near the city of Swedia

Several people were injured in shelling by transitional government factions on the outskirts of the city of Swedia, coinciding with clashes on the Al-Mansoura front, as the escalation continues in these areas.

ANHA correspondent from Swedia reported that the outskirts of the city were targeted with mortar shells, which landed near Al-Omran roundabout. The shells originated from the town of Walgha, which is controlled by transitional government factions. Three people were injured by shrapnel and were transferred to hospitals for treatment.

The Al-Mansoura front also witnessed clashes between National Guard forces and transitional government factions. These confrontations occurred when the National Guard confronted what it described as "suspicious" movements by these factions in the area. Machine guns and medium-caliber weapons were used in the clashes.

This wave of escalation comes amidst the continued, almost daily, targeting and clashes between National Guard forces and transitional government factions in Syria, since the ceasefire agreement was concluded in July of last year.
