Imrali delegation from Sulaymaniyah: Peace process requires joint efforts

The Imrali delegation held a series of meetings in the city of Sulaymaniyah, South Kurdistan, today, to deliver a message from Leader Abdullah Ocalan and push the peace process forward in Kurdistan.

After concluding the meetings, the delegation visited the tomb of the late Iraqi president, Jalal Talabani. During a press conference held there, the delegation affirmed that the peace process in the region is progressing thanks to the initiative of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Delegation member Kaskin Binder emphasized that Leader Ocalan’s efforts have been pivotal in advancing the peace process.

He noted that “meetings with Kurdish leaders, including the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, were fruitful. All parties reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the peace process and strengthening cooperation between various political forces in the Kurdistan Region.”

He added, “The peace process requires joint efforts from all Kurdish parties, and we are confident that our efforts will lead to a comprehensive and just solution to the Kurdish issue in the region.”

He further explained that the Leader’s vision serves as the foundation for resolving these issues, calling for enhanced political coordination to ensure the success of the process.

The delegation confirmed that their meeting with Shanaz Ibrahim, a member of the PUK Political Bureau, was also productive.
