The Internal Security Forces in the NE Syria, through their specialized teams (Rapid Intervention Forces (HAT), anti-narcotics and operations forces, launched a security operation, at dawn on Monday in southern Hasaka, targeting the cities of Al-Shadadi and Al-Arisha and their countryside in the Jazera Canton.

The forces were able to arrest 54 people accused of multiple crimes, according to preliminary information quoted by ANHA correspondent who is working with the campaign from field commanders.

The ISF's launch of this security campaign comes against the backdrop of popular demands and calls from tribal elders in the city of al-Shadadi and its countryside to arrest anyone who tries to destabilize the security and stability of the region, according to Internal Security Forces commander Colonel Mahmoud al-Hassan.

Colonel Hassan confirmed that the forces were able to "arrest 54 accused of multiple crimes, including armed robbery, theft, banditry, armament, and wanted persons," and "large quantities" of machine guns, individual and bombs in their possession, and radio communication devices were confiscated, noting that this toll shows the extent of "the seriousness of these people."

Internal Security Forces Colonel Mahmoud al-Hassan expressed his deep thanks to the residents of the city of al-Shadadi and its countryside for their cooperation with the security forces, stressing that the residents of the area were "ready to cooperate with our forces, as a result of the intimidation, disarming and theft they were subjected to during the past period."

"With the martyrdom of a member of our forces over the past few days, we affirm that we will not allow the cells to revitalize themselves in the region, and we renew our pledge to our martyrs to investigate and search for anyone who tampered with the security of the region and caused their martyrdom and accountability," he pledged.

On September 27, the Internal Security Forces revealed that 3 of its members, Omar Abed, Imran al-Hassouni and Marwan Aosou, were martyred after ISIS mercenary cells targeted their car while they were on their way to work on the road between the cities of Al-Hol and al-Shadadi.
