Ilham Ahmed affirmed that consolidating the ceasefire and ending military operations constitute a fundamental entry point for implementing the January 18 agreement, ensuring the safe return of displaced persons and the protection of civilian life, while stressing the continuation of national and international efforts to end the war.

The co-chair of the Department of External Relations of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, Ilham Ahmed, stated that consolidating the ceasefire and declaring an end to military operations form the cornerstone for implementing the announced January 18 agreement, particularly in light of the recent days that have witnessed mass displacement from a number of villages and towns, as residents await a safe return.

Ahmed noted that civilian life has been severely affected, with the suspension of the educational process amid harsh winter conditions, while at the same time affirming the continuation of efforts, work, and initiatives aimed at ending the war, and commending the national and international efforts being made in this regard.
