IDPs: Leader Ocalan’s message calls for equality and love

They stressed that his words represent a clear call to peace, coexistence, and the rejection of discord fostered by ruling authorities over decades.

Badiya Oso, a displaced woman, described the message as “very important,” recalling that Kurds and Arabs had historically lived together without discrimination, until the authorities instilled a mentality of division among peoples. She added:

“Today, we live on the same land, and we must not allow such divisive thinking to spread again. Strengthening coexistence is essential—if we do not unite, we will be eliminated one by one. I call on everyone to stand with one another.”

Ridwan Nuhi, from the Najran tribe, emphasized that the message was directed at all of Syria, carrying significant meaning for every community. He underlined that it urges collective responsibility, stating: “We will always support our fighters in the Syrian Democratic Forces. This message calls for peace and love among peoples.”

Abdulaziz Nehmo, from the Barkwani tribe, highlighted the political depth of the message, particularly its focus on the brotherhood of peoples and the democratic nation. He affirmed that the message strengthens ties among Syria’s diverse communities:

“Kurds, Arabs, Armenians, Syriacs, and all components have lived together for centuries on the soil of North and East Syria. Despite attempts to sow discord, we will remain united on this land, defending it and living in peace, love, and equality.”
