At dawn today, hundreds of civilians from the cities of Derik, Girkê Legê, and the villages of Baraf and Kojarat in al-Jazira canton gathered in groups and headed towards Tishreen Dam in North and East Syria to join the protesters on duty against the attacks on the dam by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

Minutes ago, the residents arrived at the dam, and their arrival coincided with the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries targeting the surroundings of the dam with heavy weapons.

Hundreds of protesters from the northeastern region of Syria have been taking turns on the Tishreen Dam daily since January 8 to protect the dam from collapse and stop the attacks of the Turkish state and its mercenaries on the Tishreen Dam.
