HPG: Turkish occupation strikes Guerrilla’s areas 13 times with heavy weapons

The People’s Defense Forces (HPG) confirmed that attacks by the Turkish occupation army on Medya defense areas continue, reporting 13 strikes with heavy weapons between 8–31 August.

Today, the HPG-NRÇ Media Center issued a statement announcing the continuation of attacks by the Turkish occupation army on its forces in Medya Defense areas. The statement reads:

“8 August: The Turkish occupation army shelled the Resistance Square in the Metina area 4 times with heavy weapons.

9 August: Turkish occupation soldiers, stationed at a new position in the Resistance Square in Metina, shelled the tunnels with heavy weapons, prompting HPG fighters to intervene tactically.

11 August: The Turkish occupation army shelled Dashta Kava in the Garê area 5 times with heavy weapons.

18–19 August: The Turkish occupation army shelled the Resistance Square of Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area, west of Zap, 3 times with heavy weapons.

8–31 August: Drones (İHA and SİHA) carried out extensive reconnaissance and surveillance operations in the Zap, Metina, Khakurk, Garê, and Qandil areas.”
