HPG: Turkish occupation bombed Medya Defense Zones 629 Times

The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement today regarding the Turkish occupation’s attacks on the Medya Defense Zones, stating:

 “Turkish Occupation Army Airstrikes:

 On April 15 and 17, Turkish warplanes bombed the resistance area on Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delîl region, west of Zap, twice.

 Turkish Occupation Army Attacks with Heavy Weapons, Artillery, and Shells:

 On April 15, 16, 17, and 18, the areas of Heftbag, Mije, Derash, and Zivk in the Garê region were shelled 131 times; the resistance areas on Bahar Hill and Amadiya Hill in the Martyr Delîl region, west of Zap, were shelled 439 times; and the resistance areas in Sêri Metîna and Bêşîl in the Metîna region were shelled 57 times — totaling 627 attacks using heavy weapons, artillery, and shells.

 On April 16 and 17, attack helicopters were continuously active over the resistance areas on Bahar Hill and Judi Hill.

 Our Forces’ Response to Enemy Attacks:

 On April 17 at 13:45, a Turkish "Kirpi"-type armored vehicle and its jammer device, which had attacked our positions in the resistance area on Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delîl region, west of Zap, were destroyed by the Martyr Axîn Muş unit with a strike from a suicide drone. This operation was carried out in response to the intensified attacks recently conducted by the Turkish occupation army.”
