HPG kills 20 occupiers in Matina

The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces said in a statement published today, "On January 13, our forces carried out a coordinated operation against the occupation army in the Resistance Square on Hakkari Hill, which resulted in the killing of 12 Turkish soldiers and the destruction of many positions belonging to the occupation."

The statement gave details of the operation

“In the Matina area;

On January 13, at 09:00, our forces carried out a coordinated operation against the Turkish occupation army in the resistance square in Hakkari Hill. The operation began with infiltration tactics into the enemy’s ranks, as our forces in the first wing of the operation targeted the occupation army with bombs, individual and semi-automatic weapons, it resulted in the killing of a Turkish soldier, and in the second wing of the operation, a group of 15 occupation soldiers were targeted, resulting in the killing of 4 Turkish soldiers and the destruction of 3 occupation sites.

Turkish occupation army attacks;

On January 14, Turkish warplanes bombed Lulan River Square in the Khakurk region 3 times, and twice bombed Barchi Square in the Qandil region, that is, 5 times in total.

The areas of Zap, Martyr Dalil West Zap, Matina and Khakurk were also subjected to artillery shelling.”
