Today marks the fifth anniversary of the martyrdom of Noureddine Sofi; the leader of the Rojava Revolution. Residents of Qamishlo, Tirbê Spiyê, and Amuda in Rojava, along with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), and families of prisoners, commemorated Commander Noureddine Sofi at his tomb at the Martyr Delil Sarokhan Shrine in Qamishlo city.

Hassen Hemo, Noureddine Sofi's cousin, told ANHA agency, "If we were to talk about the life of Martyr Noureddine Sofi, we wouldn't finish for several days." He continued, "Noureddine Sofi was a humble person. From childhood, he was energetic and intelligent, and he was always at the top of his class among his comrades."

Hassen Hemo spoke about the tireless efforts of Commander Nureddin Sofi in the Rojava Revolution, saying, "He laid the foundations of the Rojava Revolution. We followed in his footsteps, working and struggling alongside him. There are few like him; he was a child among children, an elder among elders, and a revolutionary among revolutionaries. There wasn't a single home in Rojava that Nureddin Sofi didn't visit. If he were alive today, he would go to the homes of prisoners one by one, sit with them, and share their suffering. This closeness is what made him a leader of this revolution."

Hassen Hemo emphasized that they cannot continue the path of Commander Nureddin Sofi's cause except through unity, concluding, "With the unity of the Kurdish people, we can protect our gains."
