ANHA correspondent in Hasaka reported that heavy rainwater has seeped into the tents of displaced people in Washokani Camp in the Hasakah countryside, leading to the flooding of large parts of the camp and causing damage to a number of families.

She explained that the floods caused by the rainfall have made movement inside the camp difficult, while displaced residents are appealing to concerned authorities and humanitarian organizations for urgent intervention to provide assistance and ease their hardship.

It is worth noting that Washokani Camp hosts hundreds of displaced families from the city of Serekaniye, following its occupation by the Turkish army and its affiliated factions in 2019. The camp has long suffered from poor infrastructure and lack of basic services, making its residents vulnerable to such disasters with every rainy season.
