On the occasion of the approaching Newroz, Tel Hamis City Council decorates the city streets, and Derouna Aghi Preparatory School organizes a celebration at 9:00, and the people of Jil Agha and its villages light the Newroz flame in Martyr Masoum Square at 8:00 PM. The people of Qamishlo city also light the Newroz flame in Martyr Khabat Square in Al-Hilaliya neighborhood at 8:00 PM. Qamishlo Municipality also distributes flyers and invitations to attend Newroz at 10:00 AM. Two celebrations are held in the Al-Nasirah and Marsho neighborhoods in Al-Hasakah city.
