The General Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, commemorated the martyred commander Nureddin Sufi, affirming that his mark was present in key decisive moments, saying: 

"Comrade Nureddin left a profound impact in defeating ISIS mercenaries, played a pivotal role in the operation to eliminate al-Baghdadi, and fought valiantly in the resistance of Afrin, Serêkaniyê, and Tal Abyad/Girê Spî. Therefore, all Syrian communities are indebted to him, and as his comrades, we will continue on the path to achieve his goals."
