Co-chair of the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), Ahmed Qaramus, highlighted the decision adopted during the 24th General Assembly of the KNK, saying: "In the coming months, we will hold an expanded meeting with the participation of all parties and organizations. The meeting will be dedicated exclusively to discussing the KNK's decision to submit a request for recognition of the Kurdish people and to grant them observer status as a stateless people under the umbrella of the United Nations. No other topic will be discussed."

Women from the town of Girkê Legê stressed that enshrining women's rights in Syria's new constitution is a fundamental step toward building a democratic Syria based on justice and equality.
