Syrian women have always been a fundamental pillar in building society and shaping history—from queens like Zenobia and Julia Domna to revolutionaries and fighters who resisted occupation and tyranny. Dr. Mohamed Rifaat Imam, the Egyptian professor of modern and contemporary history, stated that leader Abdullah Ocalan's call for peace is a significant and fundamental shift, proving that the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is always the one initiating peace efforts. He warned that this historic call might clash with the Turkish mentality, which is based on exclusion and extremism, putting the Turkish authorities' system to a new test.

Built in 1930 on the banks of the Khabur River, it was once the lifeline of agricultural life in the village of Al-Atalah. However, today, this waterwheel (noria) has become a historical landmark at risk of disappearing.

Moroccan human rights activist Khadija Ryadi emphasized that Syria’s reconstruction phase is no less challenging than war and conflict. She stated that the transitional period requires a strong, organized, and coordinated presence of women, urging Syrian women to learn from the experience of North and East Syria and to protect and preserve it. She described it as a legislative, political, and institutional reference for building a democratic societal model for the new Syria.

women from Hasakah, Darbasiyah, Tal Tamr, and Zirghan in Jazira Canton will head to the village of Jinwar in the countryside of Darbasiyah. Additionally, Kongra Star will visit institutions in Hasakah and distribute gifts to female workers in institutions in Shaddadi at 11:00 AM.
