Nesrin Abdullah, the commander in the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), stated that the First Conference of Kurdish Women in Rojava serves as a means to highlight the true identity of Kurdish women. The constitutional declaration recently announced in Damascus does not differ from Ba'ath Party constitutions in terms of entrenching single-party, single-nationality, and single-religion rule. Both exclude political and social components of the country. In fact, the declaration has surpassed previous Ba'ath constitutions in several ways.

The Secretary-General of the Permanent Conference for Federalism, who attended Newroz celebrations in Lebanon, expressed his great joy in participating in the event.
