Hasakah Transport Directorate suspends services ahead of integration with Transport Ministry

The Transportation and Transport Directorate centers affiliated with the Autonomous Administration in Hasakah province have suspended their services until further notice, as part of ongoing measures to unify administrative institutions and integrate the directorate into the administrative structure of the Ministry of Transport. The suspension follows a series of meetings between directorate officials, the governor of Hasakah and representatives of the ministry.

The directorate’s centers in Hasakah province stopped receiving visitors and processing transactions as of this morning.

The suspension covers all transactions previously handled by the directorate’s centers, including vehicle registration, issuing and renewing driving licenses, ownership transfers, recording legal and technical changes, conducting periodic vehicle inspections, issuing and replacing license plates and relevant documents, and maintaining vehicle records.

It also includes issuing registration statements and inspection records, processing applications for lost or damaged documents, handling legal seizure and restriction notices, collecting fees for various transactions, as well as other services and procedures related to the directorate’s work.

According to information confirmed by the directorate, the suspension will remain in place until procedures related to the directorate’s integration are completed, work mechanisms are unified with the Ministry of Transport, and the directorate’s network is connected to the ministry’s network.

The suspension came after a series of meetings held in Hasakah over the past two days, bringing together officials and administrators from the Hasakah Transportation and Transport Directorate with the governor of Hasakah and representatives of the Ministry of Transport in the Syrian transitional government, as part of efforts to complete the directorate’s integration into the new administrative structure.

In this context, Hasakah Governor Nour al-Din Ahmad met Sunday with a delegation from the Ministry of Transport in the Syrian transitional government to discuss the procedures and steps needed to complete the integration of the Hasakah Transport Directorate branch into the ministry’s administrative structure.

No date has yet been announced for the resumption of services at the directorate’s centers, as administrative and technical procedures continue to unify the work of transportation and transport institutions and integrate them into the new administrative structure.
