Guerrilla forces eliminate 478 Turkish occupation soldiers in 2024

 The Central Command of the People’s Defense Center (NPG) issued a statement today, revealing the outcomes of the guerrilla forces' operations against the Turkish occupation army in 2024. The statement reads as follows:

 " Since April 16, Turkish occupation has gradually advanced toward the Metina and Khakurk areas. Then, with clear support from the collaborating Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Iraqi government, it directed its operations on July 3 toward the resistance front at Bahar Hill in the Zap area. Revolutionary operations carried out by Kurdistan Freedom Fighters between the fall of 2023 and spring 2024 tightened the noose around the fascist army in the legitimate defense areas, delivering devastating blows and destroying many of their bases. These defeats caused serious hesitation among the Turkish fascist army, it failed to directly target the positions, trenches, and tunnels where the fighters were based, as it had done in the past. Instead, it sought to occupy vacant areas and fortify itself there.

 In the 2024 struggle, under the leadership of our heroic pioneers—Alan Malazgirt, Orhan Cihad Bingol, Shiyar Afrin, Dr. Sara Tolheldan, Zilan Amed, Hevri Jiya, Şervan Varto, Canşer Şasrawa, Akin Rodi, Tufan Kojer, Devrem Botan, Xebat Turkmen, Pelang Germiyan, Abu Leila Shahid, Sema Coya Colik, Aziz Mosul, Asmin Said, Cemal Deir Ezzor, Kurtay Şahin, and Hoker Marwan—98 comrades heroically fought and attained martyrdom. Our comrades in the Medya Defense Zones demonstrated that the enemy could be halted, the area defended, and strikes delivered at any time.

 In the 2024 campaign, 478 Turkish soldiers, including nine high-ranking officers (one lieutenant colonel, two majors, and one captain), were eliminated at the center of the occupation forces’ operations in the legitimate defense areas. Heavy blows were dealt to the Turkish occupation army, which, as in previous years, was forced to replace commanders appointed with great confidence and praise due to their repeated failures.

 By February 13, 2023, a total of 15 drones of various types had been shot down, with video footage of their destruction released. The air defense forces continued these operations in 2024, shooting down an AKSUNGUR drone over Qandil on May 27, an ANKA drone over Asos on June 6, and another AKSUNGUR drone over Asos on July 12.

 On October 23, the independent unit of the Battalion of the Immortals, including comrades Asia Ali and Rojkar Helin, who elevated the 2024 struggle to new heights in operations, developments, and campaigns, executed a sacrificial operation at the Turkish Aerospace Industries center in Ankara. This historic and successful operation, carried out at a site central to the production of the Turkish state’s genocidal machines against the Kurdish people, delivered a severe and fatal blow to the enemy.

 The operation transcended mere immediate impact, with comrades “Asia” and “Rojkar” fighting hundreds of enemy forces over a period of 74 minutes.
