The National Guard in Sweida announced that a service vehicle was damaged as a result of a mortar shell falling west of the city, stressing that measures have been taken to protect the residents and ensure the continuity of basic services.

The National Guard Command in Sweida announced that one of its sanitation vehicles was damaged by a mortar shell that landed in the western part of the city.

In a statement published on social media outlets, the Command said: "One of the sanitation vehicles in the western part of the city was damaged by a mortar shell fired by the terrorist forces of the Damascus regime stationed in the occupied village of Kanaker." The statement added that the incident was "part of a series of attacks perpetrated by these forces through the direct targeting of populated residential areas and service facilities."

The statement continued: "Our forces stationed on the aforementioned axis have taken the necessary measures to ensure the protection of residents, the continuity of essential services, and to address any threats."
