Today, hundreds of residents of Girê Spi camp gathered in the public square in the middle of the camp in the city of Ain Issa, and went out with a demonstration denouncing the massacre committed by the Turkish occupation yesterday, Tuesday, when warplanes targeted the popular market in the center of the city of Sarin, as a result of which 12 civilians were martyred and 13 others were injured.

The demonstrators carried pictures of martyrs and chanted slogans denouncing the Turkish occupation: “No to the Turkish occupation,” “No to the killing of children and women,” and “Long live the SDF resistance.”

Upon arriving at the camp square, the co-chair of the Ain Issa City Council, Ayat Al-Issa, gave a speech in which she denounced the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the villages and cities of the NE Syria, which led to the martyrdom and injury of civilians, in addition to targeting the residents’ vital facilities.

Ayat Al-Issa condemned the massacre committed by the Turkish occupation in the city of Sarin, through military aircraft that targeted a popular market in the center of the city, resulting in the martyrdom of 12 citizens and the injury of 13 others. She said that the occupation had previously committed two massacres in Zarghan and Ain Issa, in which entire families were martyred, most of them children and women.

Ayat Al-Issa denounced the international silence regarding the practices and crimes of the Turkish occupation, and called on the international community to take action and stop these crimes to prevent the loss of more innocent civilian lives.

The demonstration ended with slogans denouncing the martyring of civilians, "No to killing civilians."
