After the mothers of martyrs lit the Newroz torch in the village of Haliq, in the city's countryside, with the participation of residents from the cities of Girkê Legê and Çil Agha, and the Aliyan region, Hassan Koçer, advisor to the Autonomous Administration, delivered a speech. He congratulated the Kurdish people and all the peoples of the region, especially the families of the martyrs, on the occasion of Newroz.

Kojer added, "Newroz is the Newroz of resistance, because the Kurds, through their resistance, created this sacred day, and they continued it by setting fire to their bodies until we reached this day."

Kojer noted that they are celebrating Newroz this year while facing attacks and threats to the Kurdish existence in Rojava and South Kurdistan. He emphasized that the attacks target the unity of the Kurdish people, saying, "But we will make this Newroz a Newroz of Kurdish unity."

Koçer explained that the conspiracies targeting the Kurds are ongoing, stating, "With international approval, they are attempting to target the democratic nation project, the will of the Kurdish people, and their very existence. Had it not been for the intervention of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and his thwarting of the latest conspiracy, these forces would have achieved their goals."

He added, "Leader Abdullah Ocalan, even in Imrali prison, is working to protect the Kurdish people and their existence." He urged the Kurdish people not to be swayed by the special war waged against them by their enemies and to stand united against the attacks, adding, "We will make this year's Newroz a Newroz of Kurdish unity and a day for holding the Kurdish National Conference."

In closing, Hassan Koçer called upon all segments of the Kurdish people to rally around the Autonomous Administration and continue the struggle, saying, "Be certain that the 21st century is the century of Kurdish unity, and Newroz is the day of Kurdish freedom and the protection of the gains they have achieved."
