"Freedom for Warisha Moradi" campaign warns of inhumane conditions for Iranian activists

Conditions for female detainees in Qarchak Prison, Varamin, Iran, have severely deteriorated, with human rights reports stating that they are living in inhumane circumstances.

Many female detainees were transferred from Evin Prison to Qarchak Prison following recent Israeli attacks on Evin, which has exacerbated their suffering.

According to the "Freedom for Warisha Moradi" campaign, the detainees — including Warisha Moradi, who has been sentenced to death — are being held in quarantine cells without access to basic food, drinking water, or necessary medical services.

The campaign stated in a press release that many of the detainees did not receive their medications during the tense transfer process, and that the conditions in Qarchak Prison are far worse than those in Evin, with the detainees deprived of even their most basic human rights.

The statement also noted that despite medical recommendations, the detainees were denied medical services at Evin Prison and were prevented from being transferred to external medical facilities.

In light of these conditions, the "Freedom for Warisha Moradi" campaign expressed deep concern over the fate of the detainees and called on Iranian authorities to take responsibility for their lives. It urged the international community and human rights organizations to pressure the Iranian government to urgently address the situation and demand the unconditional release of the detainees.
