SDF arrest ISIS mercenary in al-Hol Camp

The SDF stated that military operations teams (TOL), supported by the International Coalition forces, carried out a security operation in al-Hol Camp on Wednesday, which led to the arrest of a mercenary linked to ISIS cells.

In a statement published on its official website, the SDF added: "After completing surveillance and investigation operations regarding the terrorist activities carried out by the terrorist named 'Sabah Hamadi Jiyad,' nicknamed 'Abu Aboud,' our forces raided his location and succeeded in arresting him."

The forces explained that the mercenary was active inside the camp, attempting to recruit new members for ISIS, using a smartphone to communicate with his leaders. They also pointed out that "Sabah" had previously participated in fighting against the Iraqi army.

The Syrian Democratic Forces concluded the statement by affirming their ongoing efforts to maintain security and stability, preventing ISIS from reorganizing its cells or carrying out any plans that threaten the region.
