France reiterates support for negotiations between NE,Syria,Transitional Government

In a statement on its official website in a press release, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity to continue the negotiation process between representatives of North and East Syria and the Syrian Transitional Government through joint efforts of the United States. This aligns with Paris' commitment during the Syria Conference in Paris last February to prefer a peaceful transition towards the creation of a free, united, sovereign, stable, and inclusive Syria in its regional environment.

The Ministry also clarified that, in agreement with Washington, France is in permanent contact with North and East Syria representatives and the Transitional Government, seeking to bring their positions together. It asserted that the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces within the Syrian Army is a foundation stone for Syria's and the region's stability and for the strengthening of the fight against terrorism. France also reported that significant gains have been made on both banks of the Euphrates River.
