Footage shows cooperation between KDP and Turkish occupation

Rojnews acquired clips showing the security official in the Bali area of S. Kurdistan setting up hidden surveillance cameras to track activities in the region.

A confidential source, who requested anonymity, revealed that these cameras were provided by a security officer in the Barzan area named Sarwan Khalil Barzi, along with a KDP Asayish member named Farhad Muhammad, who works in the car accessories field.

The source confirmed that Farhad Muhammad delivered the cameras on August 26, 2024, to the KDP security officer Sarwan, who tested them on September 1 at the party's security headquarters in Belah.

Subsequently, the cameras were placed in areas used by HPG fighters, allowing Turkey to obtain accurate intelligence information.

Accusations of betrayal and cooperation with Turkey

This is not the first time the Kurdistan Democratic Party has faced accusations of cooperating with the Turkish occupying state. For years, reports have indicated that the party provides Turkey with intelligence on the movements of the HPG, contributing to air and ground attacks against them. This cooperation has sparked widespread outrage in Kurdish political and public circles.

Today, the KDP is facilitating the Turkish occupation of S. Kurdistan's territories, including opening roads and crossings for the Turkish army, participating in targeting HPG forces, and creating paths in rugged areas to allow the Turkish army's entry. Furthermore, they legitimize the occupation of the region through the media policies employed by their outlets and statements from their officials.
