France has warned its citizens of potential threats in Syria, after the United States and Britain, which have warned of potential "terrorist" attacks.

France has warned its citizens that "the terrorist threat is currently very high in Syria," following the United States and Britain, which have warned of potential terrorist attacks.

The French Foreign Ministry announced on its website yesterday that "the terrorist threat is currently considered very high in Syria, including in Damascus," adding that "any French citizen present in Syria could be a potential target for terrorist groups."

The French Foreign Ministry reiterated its advice against travel to Syria, urging French citizens there to "absolutely avoid any demonstrations or gatherings."

Earlier, the US State Department warned its citizens of the possibility of "terrorist" attacks in Syria during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, while the British government called on its citizens to leave Syria by all means possible and urged them not to travel there due to security tensions in the region.
