A group of female journalists spoke to ANHA's agency about the crime committed by the Turkish occupation against female journalists in southern Kurdistan, which resulted in the martyrdom of journalists Gulistan Tara and Hero Baha al-Din.

Journalist and presenter of programs on Ronahi TV, Heboun Omar, noted that the attacks are not the first launched by the Turkish occupation state against female journalists, and said: "The Turkish occupation state sees that revealing the truth through the vision and pen of a woman poses a danger to it."

Heboun Omar stated that the Turkish occupation state targets female journalists in order to cover up the occupation attacks it carries out in Southern Kurdistan, and to hide the truth about these attacks, and said in this regard: "When the Turkish state wants to expand its occupation in a certain area, it targets journalists."

Heboun Omar stated that journalists in North and East Syria will not stand idly by in the face of the attacks of the Turkish occupation state, but will continue to struggle on the path of free media and expose the plans and crimes of the occupation to the public.

For her part, the journalist and presenter of programs on JIN TV, Jiyan Khalil, condemned the Turkish occupation state's targeting of female journalists, and pointed out the silence of officials in the government of Southern Kurdistan regarding these attacks, despite the fact that they occurred within its territory.

Jiyan Khalil rejected the attacks of the Turkish occupation state, and noted that all parties must reject these attacks. She called on the concerned parties to stop the attacks of the Turkish occupation state, especially against male and female journalists.
