The Central Executive Council of the Equality and Democracy Party in Turkey issued a statement regarding the massacre committed by the Turkish occupation against a family in Kobani, which resulted in the deaths of the father, mother, and seven children.

The statement from the Party of Equality and Democracy of the Peoples said: "We are deeply saddened and angry to inform you that a mother and father and 7 children from the same family were killed and two others were injured in a drone attack on the village of Berx Botan in the Kobani countryside."

This massacre is a war crime that deeply wounds the conscience of humanity. This attack is a blatant violation of the right to life for civilians in the region and clearly violates international law. Targeting children, women, and innocent families is a testament to an inhumane mentality.

We deeply feel the pain of all the victims, especially the children who lost their lives, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We condemn this inhumane attack in the strongest terms. From a political standpoint that rejects all forms of war, we emphasize the necessity of holding the perpetrators of this attack accountable.

This incident, which occurred at a time when the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria had reached an agreement with the interim government in Damascus and made an official decision against any type of attack, is not a coincidence; it is a deliberate act aimed at escalating tensions in the region and undermining hopes for peace. As Mr. Ocalan previously pointed out, it is an attempt at sabotage.

We ask those who anticipate attacks and threats coming from beyond the borders: Do the children who are being killed pose a security threat to you? We will never accept the killing of children and civilians under the pretext of security!

At a time when the possibility of peace was being discussed, a family of 11 people, including 7 children, was brutally murdered. This is not an ordinary attack; it is also a serious message aimed at destroying hopes for peace. We demand that the Justice and Development Party government issue an immediate statement regarding the massacre of civilians, including children, and reveal the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

We will work to bring this blatant brutality to the agenda on all national and international platforms. We will continue our struggle with all our might to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

We demand that independent international institutions conduct an immediate investigation to uncover the circumstances of the attack and identify those responsible for it.
