Education Body in Euphrates region builds 5 new schools

The Education Body in the Euphrates region is working to build 5 new schools, most of them in villages, as part of efforts to end the problem of school shortages that the region suffers from.

The spokesman for the training committee in the Education Body in the Euphrates region, Rezan Atto, said in a statement to ANHA agency: "In some villages, the schools were not enough due to the increase in the number of students, so we are constantly working on developing plans to build new schools in the region, and accordingly we are now working on building 5 new schools, the works are scheduled to be completed within 5 months."

Schools are being built in the villages of Sarket, Kayfun, Debrek Sheikhan, and Debrek Kitkan in the countryside of Kobani Canton, in addition to a school in the Martyr Abdo neighborhood in the city of Kobani.

Rezan Atto explained, "In these villages, the schools were previously one or two rooms, but after the number of students increased, we decided it was necessary to build new schools."

In addition, there is ongoing work to maintain and equip schools, most of which took place during the summer vacation before the schools opened last September.
